Why Flint Faced Fitness?
Flint Faced Fitness offers 1-1 personal training and small group training for all fitness levels in a non-judgmental, inclusive atmosphere. Regardless of whether you have never stepped into a gym, or if you are a seasoned gym-goer, all fitness levels are welcome. I will train you on correct form and anything else along the way. All ages are welcome. It's never too early or too late to make your health a priority! My approach is to support, encourage and meet you where you are at in your fitness level to help you to be your best.
My Background
In 2009, I spent a month in the hospital with IBD. I was unable to eat, and was wasting away, but later experienced weight gain due to medication. I started exercising regularly and got into CrossFit, Thai Kickboxing, yoga, running, rugby, MMA, & swimming. Regular training has helped me manage my UC and the mental ups and downs of chronic illness. I became an ACE Certified Personal Trainer in 2016 in order to train others safely and to share my own passion for health and fitness. I have trained individuals and small groups, including youth, middle-aged adults, and seniors. I encourage variety in types of training, and I typically incorporate aspects of strength training, functional fitness, kickboxing, and yoga into my clients' sessions. I have a MA in Psychology and draw upon my background in areas of motivation, confidence, behavior change, and neuroplasticity.
